Show OFFICERS SELECTED i , I Utah Federation of Labor ; .Holds Semi-Annual I Election. The semi-annual election of officers of the Utah Federation of Labor was held last night. The following gentlemen were named: ! J. N. Spalding of the Carpenters' organization, or-ganization, president. I S. V. Pitts, from the Beer Drivers' association, as-sociation, vice-president. J. T. Lavery of the Structural Iron-Workers, Iron-Workers, recording and corresponding secretary. i John K. Osborne of Typographical, No. 115, financial secretary. ! Thomas Watklns, Carpenters' organization, organ-ization, treasurer. ' ! J. H. Saniger, Boot and Shoeworkers, sergeant-at-arms. ! Charles Larch, Brewers' union, trustee. trus-tee. ' The organization committee was also elected. This was elected as follows: 1 John K. Osborne, J. T. Lavery. F. A. Ellis, A. P. Goodmansen and Mrs.- Susan Su-san Watkins. The election of the legislative committee com-mittee and ' the ..arbitration committee was deferred until the next regular i meeting. , ' The grievance' against Heath Broth- i ers, proprietors of the Salt Palace re- sort, brought by the Federated -Musi- ( clans was referred to the grievance committee for Investigation, i The meeting was largely attended and was very enthusiastic. The Federation Fed-eration at the present time is numerically numeri-cally and financially along progressive lines In far better condition than ever before. |
