Show PNEUMONIA DISCUSSED Physicians Talk of Phases of Disease; Election of Officers. i . . . . Pneumonia was the topic of discussion discus-sion at the morning - session of the eleventh annual convention of the Utah State Medical association, when it convened con-vened in the Council chamber today. Pr. Phllo 13. Jones was in the chair. After hearing reports from various committees, a discussion of pneumonia was taken up. Papers were read on the various phares of the subject by Dr. J. W. Aird, Provo; Dr. F. H. Raley, Salt Lake City; Dr. C. M. Wilson. Park 'City, and S. II. Alfcn, Salt Lake City. The discussion of the papers was led by Dr. Lyman Skeene. Dr. E. W. Whitney, Whit-ney, Dr. F. S. Bascom and Dr. Ezra C. Rich, At the afternoon session the following follow-ing officers were submitted for election: President, E. F. Root, Salt Lake City; first vice-president, C. F. Osgood, Morgan: Mor-gan: second vice-president, A. Rausoh-er. Rausoh-er. South Cottonwood: treasurer, J. N. Harrison, Salt Lake City; secretary, W. S. EllTbeck, Salt Lake City. The physicians who took part in th afternoon session were: Frederick StaufT-r. Salt Lake City: R. W. Fisher, L. VT. Snow, A. C. Ewing. Henry La Motte, D. M. Lindsay, E. O. Jones. E. Viko, H. C. Deane. C. F. Osgood, II. S. Scott and George E. Roblson. . The Salt Lake County Medical society so-ciety will tender a banquet to the members mem-bers of the State association at the University club at 8 o'clock this evening. |
