Show WILSON HAD NARROW ' ESCAPE FROM DEATH i Frederick Wyson. 417 South West Temple Tem-ple street, had a narrow escape from electrocution elec-trocution at 10 o'clock last night at Second Sec-ond South and Main streets. Wilson was standing on the street corner, when a trolley wire broke and the end struck him. knocking him to the ground and' making him unconscious. 1 The wire carried 600 volts and bystanders bystand-ers thought that Wilson had been killed. Patrolman Smoot ran to his aid and carried car-ried him to a drug store, where a, physician physi-cian examined him. It was found that he was not seriously hurt, though he suffered suf-fered from shock. He soon regained consciousness con-sciousness and was taken to his home in a hack. Several other pedestrians had narrow escapes, and the car lines traversing travers-ing Main street were held up .for twenty minutes. A wrecking car was sent for, the current was shut off, while the ends of the wire were spliced. |
