Show SWITCHMEN MAY STRIKE Grand Trunk Officials Arc Called to Chicago; Situation Sit-uation Is "serious. CHICAGO. Oct. 4. High officials of the Grand Trunk railroad have been called to Chicago to prevent a general strike of switchmen on the system growing out of the walk-out of seventy-five seventy-five men in the yards at Elsdon. Local Lo-cal officers last night admitted that the labor situation is growing more critical hourly. Fourth Vice-President McWeagin'and General Superintendent Brownlee of the Grand Trunk will arrive from Detroit De-troit today and will confer with Division Di-vision Superintendent F. TV.
