Show PROBLEM OF BRIGHAM STREET IS UNSOLVED Acting under the instructions of the Board of Public Works. City Engineer George W. Rlter is working out a plan for the paving of Brigham street that will 'be satisfactory to the property-owners property-owners of the street. This means that the paving of Brigham street will be delayed indefinitely. The problem that confronts the board is one that is hard to overcome. How It can be alleviated is yet to be figured out. The north side of Brigham street at B street is thirteen and one-half feet higher than the south side. The city is compelled to make a grade that will not make a deep cut for the north side property owners and heavy fill for the property owners on the opposite side of the street. Should a deep cut or a deep All be made It will make steep climbs or steep descents at the intersecting, streets. It' hns been almost Impossible to get all the property-owners on the street to agree to a plan. Work on the streets will be suspended until the problem Is definitely settled. |
