Show ENTERTAIN THEJLKS BUFFALO. N. T.. July 14.-The Elks st-tendlng st-tendlng the nineteenth annual reunion were entertained by the Niagara Falls local today. Speaking of the defeat of the proposed amendment to limit membership mem-bership to the grand lodge. Past Grand Exalted Ruler Fanning said: "The amendment was defeated by men who favored fa-vored the idea, , but not in the drastic form It assumed. A constitutional amendment amend-ment will be prepared before the next annual an-nual meeting, which will be passed." Before the final adjournment the question ques-tion of the abandonment of the national home at Bedford was discussed, many, favoring Its continuance, but definite action ac-tion was postponed until next year. A resolution was adopted recommend- -' Ing that the age limit for admission xo the home be reduced. . . |
