Show WHITHER SCHOOL TO GIVE ENTERTAINMENT The Whlttier school entertainment, which was to have been given In the Seventh Sev-enth - ward meeting-house February 24. and which was postponed to Wednesday. March 1, will have many interesting features. Among those who will appear will be Miss Marguerite Taylor, accompanist, and Claude J. Nettleton, violinist. ' The programme will be as follows: Song. "Our Own Dear Land," by the school; recitation, "Barbara Frletchie." Llndale Barlet; pole drill, by a class: recitation. "The Story of Washington." with song. "Washington." Herbert Seidler and pupils of room 1; "A February Acros- tic," pupils from room 2: recitation. Brighton Came; dumb-bell exercises, by a class. Mr. Nettleton will give three violin selections, se-lections, "Serenata." Mosxkowskl, "Rooster "Roost-er and Hen," Leonard, and "Masurka," Muslm. The pupils from room 4 will give "The Hatchet Brigade." with the song. "Our Flag." Ray Marsel will give a talk on "Washington," and the pupils from room 3 will render "The Chimes of Washington." Washing-ton." The classes will then give free gymnastics, gym-nastics, and the exercises will close with the song. "America," by the school. |
