Show PROFESSOR DENIES ARSON IMPLICATION Professor Bernard Gomoll Saturday vigorously dented the accusation reported re-ported to have been made by J. H. Hon that he (Gomoil) had set fire to a house at 35S Reed avenue. Horr was arrested Wednesday charged with act- i ting fire to the house. Chief W. H. By- water of the fire deportment asserting that there wss evidence to show an arson plot. when Horr was taken to Jail he de-declared de-declared that Gomoll must have set fire , to the house. Gomoll declares that ! Horr prevaricated and that he was fiot In the vicinity. Horr's accusation follows fol-lows a long standing; dispute between the two men and Gomoll says that this caused Horr. In a spirit of spite, to accuse ac-cuse him without Justification. Horr Is charged with second degree arson in a complaint filed In the city court Saturday by the court ty attorney. Chief Criminal Deputy Sheriff Herbert Lelchter was the complaining witness. The house Is property of the A. Rlchter Realty company and Horr Is accused of having fired It In order to collect $1200 furniture Insurance from the Utah Fire Insurance com pan y . |
