Kogers offering any assistance as-sistance they may be able to give in the grand Jury investigation of themselves. them-selves. The letter sets forth that they have learned from newapaper articles that certain charges against them are being scrutinized by the grand Jury. I They offer to apiear1n person and to ! produce any records that the grand jury may care to see. No Investigation waa done by the grand Jury today. Its members visiting visit-ing the jail at (iarfleld, as Is required under the statute. Coal, lumber and the city commissioners are the matters mat-ters now pending before the grand Jury.
