They were James 'Goodwin, 'Good-win, negro, recently convicted of a statutory offense agalnat a white woman; James R, McCormlck, who pleaded guilty to a bad check charge, and Walter K. Burleson, who pleaded guilty to burglary. vty and George Norton, bound over to the district dis-trict court for violations of tha narcotic nar-cotic lawa, pleaded guilty and were sentenced to serve ninety-day terms In the county Jail. Milton D. Joseph, extradited from Florida for the alleged emhesxlenicnt of $54,000 from the Continental National Na-tional bank eiaht years ago, entered a plea of not guilty to the charges against him. Attorney Thom"s Ramage, appearing appear-ing for Joseph, declared that he would make application to the supreme court fur a writ of habeas corpus to determine deter-mine whether the courts have Jurisdiction Juris-diction In the case. Ha mage contends that the Information against Joseph was not filed within the time provided by law and that the prosecution la not legal.
