Investigation! disclosed a pile of oil soaked rags . and paper underneath 'a stairway on i the ground floor, according to Chief j Tiywater. From this pile a line of oil j soaked paper had been In id through ' the middle room of the house Into the bedroom and underneath a bed. The chief declared that the fire wns that arrests would be made as soon I as sn investigation established the identity of the plotter. The furniture Is owned by J. II. Horr. a chiropodist and caster of horoscotes. according to the chief. Jt was insured for $700. , The identity of the house owner has not yet been established. The place was unoccupied at the time of the fire, as Mr. Horr is said to have been living on Quince street. The damngc to the furniture was estimated nt about $400 and the loss to the building about $700.
