M Greenway who gained fame one or two decades ago as a dance leader Many of San Francisco's society leaders leader's will attend according to present present present pres pres- ent plans The cotillion ion is to be given by Miss Jennie B In honor of her goddaughter Miss Helene de do Latour a debutante Greenway does not care to say whether he thinks the cotillion is to return to popular favor In many of the big Eastern cities however ac according according ac- ac according cording to Greenway the cotillion Is becoming popular again Will it be like the cotillions of old he repeated a question That is hard I to say The entire s system stem of dancing Is so 50 different There will be the figures figures figures fig fig- ures of course but we will not try anything risky risky nothing nothing like dancing with lighted Japanese lanterns as we once did when we had men inca stationed outside with wet blankets to rush to the rescue should anything catch fire It Is impossible to say what figures wIllbe will willbe willbe be danced there are more than figures to a cotillion and I have always al always always al- al ways made them up on the spur of the moment moment just just as we went along I As to the music and dancing whether it will be the waltz or the fox foxtrot trot trot that that Is up to the young people I
