Schmidt state superintendent of ot printing the state will save about 2500 a year on stationery and office supplies supplies' Heretofore the several departments of the st state te have ordered stationery and and office supplies independently of each other Mr Schmidt proposes that all departments in the future shall place their orders through him In this way he will obtain a discount on the sum all orders and it is crated that the state will save about 2500 a year I In In connection connection with this new policy the secretary of the state boara of examiners has sent the following letter letter letter let let- ter to all departments I 1 am directed by the state board of examiners to advise you that Mr Schmidt superintendent of printing has made arrangements whereby a special discount can be had on all office supplies provided they are purchased from one company and in order to fa facilitate facilitate fa- fa this you are hereby instructed to place all future orders for such supplies supplies sup sup- plies through the printing department Claims for printing and supplies must be approved by Mr Schmidt before submission to the board otherwise they will not be accepted I 1 am also directed by the board to herewith a sample voucher book and to advise you that in the future all expenditures made by by officials off oUi- dais or in your department must be receipted for on like vouchers which can be obtained from the superintendent superintendent superintendent super super- of printing at a cost or 15 35 cents per book These vouchers must be filled out in detail as indicated and anda an ana a voucher for every item amounting to 1 1 Or more must be submitted There will be no exception to this rule Items for which proper vouchers are not submitted submitted submitted sub sub- will be eliminated from the claim The new rule does not apply to print print- ing As in the past all printing for forthe forthe i ithe the state will be open to competitive bids I.
