Show MEMORIES OF MOTHER When we look back through the years to our childhood days ! We remember how mother shar- - ed our cares and joys And life was made brighter by the smile in her eyes i And have given us courage amid the tempest of the changing years. Mother's love has spared us the bitterness and sharp passions of unguarded moments. How these happy memories cluster Like stars when storms are past When we think of home and mother We see a happy face in our looking glass. It matters not where we have trod Or women smiled and never wept : Or if we lived close to nature's God And steep as we in childhood sweetly slept With thoughts- of mother's smiling smil-ing eyes I The grass beneath us; above, the: cloudless skies J Or on the city's crowded street On the land or on the mighty deep Or when the sea is sighing in it's j steep Mother'-, smile you will always j see It matters not whereere you be ; Memories of mother, with hair of gray Are memories nothing can take away.
