Show SCOUT COUNCIL MAKES CHANGES The Salt Lake Council, Boy Scouts, is for the first time, de-centralizing de-centralizing their annual spring i council-wide camp training activity. ac-tivity. Formerly scouts from all districts within the council were 1 invited to attend a Camp-O-Ree ' or Skill-O-Ree conducted in Salt Lake. This year the Skill-O-Ree; ; is being taken to the scouts in ; the various districts throughout j : the council. The thirty districts of the council have been grouped into j six sections, and each section is 1 conducting its own Skill-O-Ree. . The group consisting of Cotton- j ; wood, Big Cottonwood, Bing- j ham, East Jordan, West Jordan and the newly formed North Jordan Jor-dan comprise Section V of the council. A Skill-O-Ree is, briefly, an overnight camping experience, I where scouts are brought to-j to-j gether as patrols, and take part I in the program by demonstrating demonstrat-ing their skills in a number of campcraft and woodcraft projects. pro-jects. Adult leadership of the districts have been formed into committees to do the preliminary prelimin-ary planning work of the Skill-O-Ree. Named from Bingham to serve on the various committees were Robert Jenkins, physical arrangements; J. Lynn Booth, i health, safety and sanitation; and Malcolm J- Robertson, program and projects. |
