Show JAYCEES PUSH ARMY DRIVE SPRINGVILLE The junior chamber of commerce organIzations organizations organizations of the state have been asked by Lieutenant Colonel Beveridge of the Ninth service command at Fort Douglas and by Orson Brown of the the Victory Service league to act as organizing agencies for the collection of athletic equipment for army camps In Utah Ray Richards of Springville president of the state junior chamber said Friday in an appeal to clubs to get behind the project It is not expected that the junior chamber should handle handlo the projects alone but the various i i clubs throughout the state are to act as agencies in securing the support of other groups such as schools clubs churches and places of business Mr Richards said He suggested the junior clubs I take the initiative in securing depositories depositories de de- depositories and sponsor speakers for programs to acquaint people with the need of such equipment for forthe forthe forthe the army camps He further pointed out that because because be be- cause ause of the shortage of athletic c equipment in the smaller camps much time is spent in tiresome setting Getting up exercises and it is the opinion of club leaders that morale of the men could be built up and much pleasure given by supplying athletic equipment |
