Rubright and son, Earl Wayne, left last week to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bledsoe of Aroya, Colo., for three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McNeely and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Allmark were in Salt Lake City Tuesday evening attending the Utah state symphony orchestra's concert and the theatre. Mrs. Harry Parker of Midvale was surprised on her birthday, Wednesday, when Mrs. W. G. Thomas, Mrs. E. G. Ball, Mrs. Alvin Hall and Mrs. C. A- Morley Mor-ley made a surprise call, bring.-ing bring.-ing birthday remembrances. Thursday evening at the home of Miss Carol Pearson, of Copperton, Cop-perton, a delightful party was enjoyed. Guests included Shirley Smith, Jeannette Groves and Shirley Watkins. The group attended at-tended the theatre and later a delicious two-course luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McKellar and daughters and Richard Parsons Par-sons of Copperton spent the week end in Tooele visiting Mr. Mc-Kellar's Mc-Kellar's sister, Mrs. P. E. Parsons. Par-sons. Mr. and Mrs. William. Sylvester Sylves-ter of Salt Lake City are parents of an eight-pound son born Sunday Sun-day morning at 2:10 a.m. in the Salt Lake LDS hospital. Next week, April 6, at 1:30 p. m., Mrs. Edith Peterson will give the teachers' topic on "Care of the Body as an Expression of Faith". MIA Social Tuesday Wat Gala Affair La Celebracion Pan Americma at the Bingham LDS ward MIA Tuesday evening was a gay party par-ty enjoyed by many. A Mexican market, decorated in fiesta colors, col-ors, was at one end of the hall. Sombreros, bright-colored scarfs, balloons and gourds hung from the sides. The 22 Pan American flags were displayed about the hall. Alice Cunningham, wearing a Spanish costume, greeted guests at the door and presented ladies with flowers for their hair and men with sashes. Lynn Argyle conducted the program: A Spanish round "Fray Felipe"; Fel-ipe"; a quiz on South America with Melda Clark as emcee; a short story, "Christ of the Andes", An-des", by Mrs. Clark; piano solo, "A Little Spanish Girl", by Lucille Lu-cille Caldwell; an accordion soj |
