The treasurer collected the dues and the secretary read the roll. "Deep In The Heart Of Texas" was sung. The second class group studied first aid and the other group practiced for the investiture ceremony. Individual birthday cakes were also served. Miss Lily Stokes of Heber was a week-en- d guest at the Highland Boy Community House. The home nursing class met Tuesday at the Highland Boy Community House. "How To Put On Cold and Hot Compresses and Mustard Plasters" was the sub-ject. A written examination will be given Friday to those enrolled in the class. A first aid class, began Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the Highland Boy school. Those en-rolled will meet every evening this week. Runar Martinson is the instructor. Everyone is invited to attend the "Good Friday" service at 7:00 p.m. at the Community House Friday. A short play, "I Go A Wishing", will be present-ed. The choir will sing, "The Old Rugged Cross". The Highland Boy grade school held an April Fool party Tues-day. The higher grades, taught by Principal Andrew Jones, en-tertained the rest of the school. Mr. and Mrs. Carl N. Granning entertained their son-in-la- w and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Ortego, at dinner April 1, Mrs. Ortego's birthday. At 7:00 p.m. Easter Sunday a service is scheduled at the Com-munity House. Special music in-cludes "Easter Flowers Are Blooming Bright" by the Song- - etorc "Swppt anii Hlnnr thp Rirns are Singing", by the Harmony club. And a play, "Easter In Liv-ing Pictures . The public is invi-ted to attend. The first, second and third grades' story hour group had an Easter party Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Allie Chanak, Matt Pazell, Paul Smilanich and Joan Antell were on the enter-tainment committee. The women of Highland Boy continue their sewing for defense and the Red Cross each Tuesday and Thursday. More woolen scraps are needed. Anyone who has old suits, skirts, boys pants, etc., which are no longer in use, is requested to send them to the Community House. They will be used in making knee wraps for soldiers' hospitals. Junior and Intermediate de-partments of the Sunday school will hold an Easter worship ser-vice and Easter breakfast Sunday morning at 8:30 o'clock. All mem-bers are invited. A special program will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Highland Boy Community House. The civilian defense com-mittee will present a movie and sound picture concerning fire bombs and our part in defense. Everyone tis invited. The Queen Esthers met Tues-day at the Highland Boy Com-munity House. The girls are ma-king afghans for the Red Cross. The evening was enjoyed and re-freshments were served to Marie Azzelio, Katie '.Yengich, Leslie Qleaves, Marie Button, Alice Brown and Ann Muhar. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jones had as guests Sunday evening Mr. Jones two brothers and wives, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Emit Jones of Salt Lake City, and Mr, and Mrs. R. G. Steele. As a courtesy to Mrs. Ida Kan-niaine- n, who plans to leave today (Friday) to make her home near Calumet, Michigan, a one o'clock bridge luncheon was given Mon-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Charles Brimhall with Mrs. An-drew Jones cohostess.
