NEW DEAL MAY IGNORE PARTIES 1 Roosevelt Will Support Those I His Hs Plans Who Favor Despite Labels WASHINGTON June 30 UP- UP UP Despite protests from some organization tion Democrats President Roosevelt was was insistent today that support be given to candidates who subscribe to his new deal principles instead of on ona ona a basis of pure party politics V Senator J J. Hamilton Lewis of Ull- Ull of the Democratic chairman senatorial campaign committee discussed dis cussed the situation with Mr Roosevelt Roose Roose- velt elt at length At the conclusion of the conference Lewis said he lie expected to be able to toV list of candidates V announce later a who would be aided in the fall elections elec lions and that this list probably would be without regard for party labels This was taken to indicate that adV administration administration ad ad- V ministration support would be given Senator Robert M. Fletcher of oL the Inc Republican national committee upon Senator William E. E Borah R.
