E Thurman and pioneer school teacher who died Friday Fri day following a lingering illness Mrs Mn Thurman was born May 25 25 1854 in Salt Lake a daughter of ot Charles D. D and Alice Miller She came to Provo with her parents parental when a child and attended schools here and in Salt Lake She and her sister opened a school In 1871 1971 in the First district here and taught there for several years Mrs Thurman was active in L. L D. D S. S church work having served as Relief Re Re- lief Ud society president of ot the Bonneville Bonne- Bonne yule ville arid athi First wards She was a charter char ter member of Camp 2 Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and was as a member mem memo ber berof of the old folks folks' committee of ot Utah I stake for several everal years I Eight daughters and sons survive Mrs Gertrude Page Leo F F.
