T MONEY PARLEY I TO BE CALLED League Council Decides to toA A Act t Under Lausanne Agreement B By fly Associated Press GENEVA July i. i 15 The 15 The council of the he league of nations pursuant to the Agreement reached at Lausanne decided today t to issue a c call ll for a world monetary and economic confer ence The date and place have not yet been seen determined Sir John Simon the British foreign minister was made chairman of a committee to prepare for the conference conference confer confer- ence in collaboration with a special commission of e experts The league assembly will be asked to appropriate money noney for the expenses of the con con- ference In accordance with the Lausanne agreement the United States will be asked to participate and also to designate nate two members of the preparatory commission Although the place and date were not officially mentioned it was understood understood un un- un the gathering would probably probably proba- proba bly ly come in October either at London or Geneva The council set up a combination of political and technical organizations to o prepare the way for the conference The pr progress gress of preparation will determine the date but a lively argument argument argument ment may come in September before the assembly of the league The small powers want the meeting to be held at Geneva while Great Britain is pressing for her own capital London
