Show Miss Elva Crump of Lark will be office receptionist for Dr. B. D. Bennion for the next month. Mr. and Mrs. John J. Creedon were in Eureka Saturday attending attend-ing funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Sullivan. Instructions on handling pumps on fire trucks were given firemen fire-men of the Utah State Firemen's association Sunday in a five-hour class conducted by Captain Dell Iverson at Ogden. Present from Bingham were Irvin Stillman. state chairman of education; John J. Creedon, chairman of education educa-tion for Bingham; Wilford II. Harris and Earl T. James. Russell Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Fitzgerald of Andrews, Texas, former Bingham Bing-ham resident, was killed in action ac-tion in the Pacific. A nephew of Mrs. Thomas Mayne, Fitzgerald worked in Bingham Canyon a-bout a-bout two years ago. He was reported re-ported lost with the U.S.S. Houston, Hous-ton, Mrs. W. II. Shurtleff, sons, Billy Bil-ly and Byron, and Mr. and Mrs. Odell Madsen and son, Scott, all of Salt Lake City, were dinner guests Sunday cf Mr. and Mrs. Rulon K. Madsen. A string quartet which was featured in the fourth of a series of "at home" concerts Sunday afternoon at the University of Utah included a former Bingham high school student. Art Peterson, Peter-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Peterson of Sandy, violinist and member of the University symphony symph-ony orchestra directed by Professor Pro-fessor Arthur Pederson Freber. Mr. and Mrs. Francis C. Oswald Os-wald were home Sunday evening even-ing after a week's absence. They were called to Los Angeles by illness of Mr. Oswald's father, C. N. Oswald, who is reported much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Otteson entertained at dinner Sunday evening in honor of Mrs. David C. Lyon, the occasion being her birthday. Others present were Bishop Lyon and Mary Lou and Allen Lyon. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Starkey and children of Park City visited over ov-er the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. IT. F. Dowd. Mrs. Joseph Webb and daughter, daugh-ter, Galen, of Midvale, visited Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. James. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Faddis and family, Robert and Barbara, of American Fork, spent the weekend week-end visiting relatives. Mrs. Catherine Cath-erine Grant, who was a guest of the Faddises the past two weeks, returned home. Mrs. Lynn Booth and son. "Richard, returned Sunday evening even-ing from a week's stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Mc-Cloy Mc-Cloy of Murray. Mrs. Alton Angus and children, child-ren, Barbara Kaye and Jimmie, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. James Forman of Sugar-house. LOCALNOTES Mrs. James M. Sullenger and Mrs Charles F.
