Show LEGION AUXILIARY HOLDS SPECIAL HONORPROGRAM A program honoring members of American Legion auxiliary who are mothers, wives and sisters sis-ters of boys and girls in the service ser-vice of United States was given at a meeting Wednesday at the home of Mrs. George E. Addy of Apex Mine. Mrs. J. Dewey Knud-sen, Knud-sen, auxiliary president, conducted conduct-ed the meeting and welcomed Mrs. Helen Howard of Riverton, auxiliary president of District No. 3, and her secretary, Mrs. Faye Williams of Sandy. The two officers were making their second sec-ond official visit for the year. Mrs. Addy spoke to those having hav-ing sons, husbands or brothers in service. Mrs. Charles Brimhall presented war stamp corsages to each of the 22 auxiliary members being especially honored and Mrs. Louis Susaeta, whose twin brother, Rodney Charles Davidson, David-son, lost his life in this war, and ,Mrs. B. O. Pumphrey, mother of Homer Pumphrey, medically discharged dis-charged from the navy a new member of Bingham post No. 30, Mrs. Pumphrey has two other sons in service. Mr. Davidson was the son of Jack T. Davidson, a member of Legion post No. 30. Mrs. Anast J. Chipian, chairman chair-man of unit activities, made her report. Mrs. Addy and Mrs. R. A. Mu-rano Mu-rano were initiated. Miss Mary Lou Lyon played a piano solo, "Clair De Lune ' and Miss Faye Cowdell read her prize winning Americanism essay, "Remember". "Re-member". Mrs. Howard spoke to the auxiliary aux-iliary on "Rehabilitation", explaining ex-plaining the difficulties which tifill f;ir. tho nytiin aftnr ihn war chiefly because there is such a large casualty list. She also stressed the improtance of the American Legion auxiliary nurses' nur-ses' recruiting project, which offers of-fers scholarship awards. Mrs. Williams' topic was "Child Delinquency". De-linquency". Mrs. Mike Brisk was given a vote of thanks for her project this year. She has been solely responsible re-sponsible for making and selling 555 victory corsages, hand made with war savings stamps. The auxiliary voted $5.00 to the Victory Flag society and $1.00 to the Nurses' program. Mrs. Francis J. Quinn was hostess hos-tess chairman and was assisted by Mrs. John Osoro, Mrs. L. L. Watson and Mrs.' Florence Toy. Dainty refreshments were served serv-ed to 20 members.
