A Guest WHEN THE TIlE BABY ARRIVES When a little baby comes Little fingers little thumbs Little chubby f feet t and toes And the little button nose Give the mother more delight Than the thc stars which shine at night Others race to get a view Of that little baby new Come the grandmas hastening hastening- there thereIn In the happiness to share And Aud among the wondering crowd Walk the grandpas very proud Comes a most devoted aunt Whom no other can supplant To discover endless charms In those little dimpled arms And to bring as aunties do Little rifts of pink or blue So in manners quaint and strange Thus Thus' the lives of many change With new hope the future gleams New delights new cares new dreams And with Joy the old world hums When a little baby by comes come |
