Show Long Fr.i;en. An Irish priest at Ammergau told the followlngatory of his bishop: His lordship and a chaplain came to see the Patoion play. They would fain have had a room each, but this was not possible. They knelt down separately to ssy their prayers by their little con and presently It creased the mind of Ihe chaplain that It would not be well to make bis orisons shorter than tho bishop's, and he glanced over his shoulder to see If his lordship was about to make an end. The bishop, presumably anxious not to scandalize his chaplain by the shottnera of his prayers, also glanced ovpr his shoulder and waited. The process was repeated aereral time.
