The Gossipy Sex Amuses Audience At Wilkes Theatre For the second time in as many weeks weeks the Wilkes Players have I presented a a. comedy which for foe laughs and chuckles has not been equaled for several moons The comedy is The Gossipy Sex by Lawrence G Grattan rattan and was first prod produced ced by John Golden whose record for cleanliness is too well known known to be mentioned except in passing pasIng A number of the Wm Wilkes es Players do particularly well in The Gossipy Gossipy Gos Gos- S' S Sex x chief chic among them be beIng being being be- be ing B Ben n Erway who who was cast as Danny Grundy a gentleman who cannot open his mouth without getting getting get get- ting at least three persons Including ing himself in trouble of some sort Mr Erway Elway did very well although although al although al- al though his work was no better than it usually is A comedy role of the t type pe I in which he lie appears in this play is his special forte and andas andas andas as he handled it with a great deal of pleasure both to the audience and himself Miss Gladys George cast as Anna also provided her usual en en- and and when it is said she entertains it is meant both to the e eye e and the car ear Of course car ear entertainment is the kind which is most highly esteemed by an actress but eye eje entertainment o of ot the type Miss George furnishes is not to be sneered at She wears one dress during the entire play I I but it is one which enhances if possible her abundant supply of ot pulchritude Of course Mr Erway and Miss George are not the entire play No Ko indeed There are for example Guy Usher cast as John Bow Bowen en Ethel Baker cast as Alice his nis wife Leonard Strong cast is Leonard Fanchon Everhart cast castas castas castas as Hilda Frank Perry cast as Milton Milton Mil Mil- ton Norris Korris Arthur Loft as Phil I Baxter Dais Daisy Del Wilcox as Flozie Flo Flo- zio zie Huron L.
