Graham Adams, D D , former rector rec-tor of Christ Episcopal Church here, before the W'estern New York Diocesan Coul.cH, now iu session at NLigan Fills, by the wardens and vestrymen of tho church. The matter is uo in the bauds or Bishop Coxe. The mostse-rious charge Is that of appropriating church funis to his own use. Mrs. Washington Hunt, of New York, wife ot the late Ojv ernor Hunt, of this cUy, donated 5100 annually b the church for re-lolrs. re-lolrs. The greater tart o. this sum Is missing, and so Is the rector, who quietly decamd for the west a month ago. The other charge is that of taking 3liribetosunnre-s the marriage of Curtis C. Darrow to Miss Francis Gaskell a 17-year-old daughter of Joshua Gxskell, a prominent lawyer of this city, who were seen tly married mar-ried by Dr. Adams on February IS, 1SS9. Darrow Is alleged to have offered Adams SiV) to suppress the marriage certificate. The groom is from l"alusville.
