He was born In Yorkshire, England, pril7th, 1S13, came to this country coun-try In lSST,. () Jlay 19th, 1-.14, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. May 33th of the same car he married Elizabeth Perry, b whom was born unto him eight children, five of whom are now living. Ho setUed w Ith the Saints In auvoo, and came to Silt Lake City In tho year 1819 In 185'j he moved to Draper, Salt Lake Co, in which plico lie re-Idcd until his demise. Brother Howard died as he had lived, a faithful Latter dty Saint, He leaves behind him a record the like of which none need be afraid to make, and trateleU the road the gospel marked out for him to follow. While full of ears he was full of !oe, aud was well belotcd and rcspceled b all who knew lilm.
