Show NEW RECRUITING STATIONS SET UP THROUGHOUT UTAH "In line with the present drive in the United States to keep our national defense abreast of the times and adequate to our needs, the Utah district of the United States Army Recruiting Service has just established seven sub-recruiting sub-recruiting stations located throughout the state. "This movement was inaugurated inaugur-ated to increase our regular standing stand-ing army and is part of a national effort being made throughout the entire nation at the present time. The Utah district is under the direct command of Colonel B. E. Grey whose headquarters is located lo-cated at 223 Ness Building in Salt Lake City. Colonel Grey is being assisted by Captain G. A. Howarth. "As a consequence, many opportunities op-portunities are now available for training and service to young men 18 years of age or older in all branches of the army: in the air corps (which has proven to be especially popular), cavalry and artillery; in the engineering division, the finance department, the medical department, quartermaster quarter-master corps, signal corps, and in the infantry. Such a training is offered in each field that in j three years a young man will be i able to return to civilian life if j he desires, with a trade learned I in the army at no expense to j himself. "A real need also exists for army clerks. A person of high school education and typing ability abili-ty may qualify advancement a-vailable a-vailable to proficient men. "For Utah, recruiting stations are now established in Salt Lake City, Logan, Ogden, Provo Roosevelt, Richfield, Price, and Cedar City.
