Show . Mayor J. Bracken Lee, Governor Candidate, To Speak In Bingham Mayor J. Bracken Lee of I'nee, Utah, an announced candidate for the nomination for governor on the Republican ticket, will visit Bingham next Tuesday July 23. A luncheon uill be giwn at the Eagles hall at 12 o'clock noon. Every voter interested in meeting meet-ing Mayor Lee and hearing him discuss his candidacy and the issues involved in the election this fall is invited to attend the meeting. Mayor Lee expects to be in Bingham a little before noon and stay several hours. Members of the Tenth Precinct Republican club are in charge of the luncheon. Reservations may be made by calling Harold Barton, Bar-ton, club president; I-.Miott W. Evans, vice president; Jess Southwell, South-well, secretary; or Mrs. S. J. Granquist, president of the Lincoln Lin-coln club, women's precinct He-publican He-publican organization. A nominal charge will be made for the tickets. tick-ets. Those who do not wish to attend at-tend the luncheon are invited to come to tne hall to meet Mayor Lee and hear his talk. Now serving his third term as ! head of Price city administration, j Mayor Lee lead the Municipal League of Utah as president in I 1938 and 1939. He has long been an outspoken critic of the pies- j ent state administration. His announced an-nounced four-point platform pledges him to (1) stamp out political racketeering; (2) reduce taxes by directing funds into proper channels; (3) build Utah with action and not words; and j (4) overthrow the oligarchy which, beyond question, now rules this state. i Mayor Lee was one of the forty j state and county Republican j candidates introduced to tne juuu-odd juuu-odd Republicans in attendance at the barbecue in the Box Elder amphitheatre at Mill creek canyon can-yon Wednesday evening.
