Show Trout Fishing To Open In State June 12 Trout fishing in Utah will open June 12 at 5:00 a.m. That's iust three more weeks or less, which is notification to the state's sportsmen sports-men that tackle should be checked and made ready for the first day. The June 12 opening wil be for all lower streams and lakes, and will not include the high Uintah Lakes and the streams above the 7,000 foot elevation where the native trout are stiO spawning. Open on June 12 is the famous Strawberry Reservoir, which has always opened at a later date in years past. Fish Lake and Deer-Creek Deer-Creek Reservoir will also be opened open-ed June 12. The daily bag limits for this season are the same as last seven pounds and (or) one fish, or 15 fish, whichever is caught first. The possession limit is the same as the daily bag. Fishing hours this summer will be from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. throughout the season. Size limits are seven-inch seven-inch minimum. Fishing this year should be better bet-ter than ever, considering the number of people who will go out. License sales to date have already indicated a, large turnout for the trout season. |
