Show Washington D. C, Denver Most PopularWithUtahns Denver, Colo., and Washington, D. C, are the two most traveled-to traveled-to cities in the nation, as far as Utah state officials are concerned. According to a report of the Utah Foundation on Travel by Utah officials during the 1948 fiscal fis-cal year, 57 trips were made to Denver and 52 trips to the nation's capital. California ranked next in popularity popu-larity in out-state travel, with 35 official trips authorized to San Francisco and 31 to Los Angeles. Twenty trips were okehed to Chicago, Chi-cago, 12 to Atlantic City, 14 to New York City, 11 to Portland, Ore., and 12 to Cheyenne. Such remote points as Boyes Spring, Cal.; Alma, Neb.; Biloxi, ; ; Miss. ; Portland, Me.., and Pullman, i n Wash., also were visited by Utahns on state business, the report show- J, V J , book |
