Show FUNERAL SERVICE HELD TUES. FOR MRS. SYLVIA MINER Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia E. Johnson Miner, 85, Springville pioneer, who died Saturday, were conducted in the Second ward Tuesday afternoon, under direction direc-tion of Bishop Oliver H. Dalton. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, ceme-tery, under direction - of Claudin Funeral home. Mrs. Miner, widow of Moroni Miner was born Jan. 3, 1863, in Springville, a daughter of Aaron and Cecilia Sanford Johnson. She was married to Mr. Miner June 7, 1883, in the Salt Lake 'endowment house. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a Primary teacher and was president of the Relief society of Springville Second ward for a number of years. She was also a member of the old folks' committee and captain of Camo Aaron Johnson of Daughters of Utah Pioneers for several years. Surviving are two sons, A. L. Miner, Magna, and Grant Miner, Springville; a daughter Mrs. Thora M. Dalley, Springville; 17 grandchildren, grand-children, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Chase, Springville. |
