Show Coming Events . . . D. U. P. Camp Spring Creek Members of Camp Spring Creek D. U. P. will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Geraldine Atkinson today at 2 p. m., announces Captain Cap-tain Christie Lee. Mrs. Peter Nelson Nel-son will give the history. Aureole Club Will Meet The Aureole federated club will meet Friday evening, March 9, at 7:30 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. Agnes Eismann, 251 East Third South. A good attendance is desired de-sired as election of officers will be held. Amigos Mia Members of the Amigos Mia club will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Woodrow Weight this evening. All members are urged to attend. Mothers Study Club The regular meeting of the Mothers Study club will be held Friday evening instead of the usual afternoon meeting time, at the home of Mrs. Earl Sumsion, beginning at 8 oclock. . Ladies Literary Club Mrs. Glenn Sumsion will be hostess hos-tess to members of the Ladies Literary Lit-erary club on Friday evening at her home, beginning at 7:30 p. m. Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall will give the program. Kensintgon Society The Kensington Society of the Community church will be enter- tained by Mrs. A. M. Lyall at her home Thursday afternoon, March 8, beginning at 2:30 oclock. Legion Auxiliary The regular meeting of the Legion Le-gion Auxiliary will be conducted next Wednesday evening, beginning begin-ning at 8 p. m., at Memorial hall, announces President Zola Gogar-ty. Gogar-ty. It will be Americanism night, and Mrs. Lela Nelson, Americanism American-ism chairman, will have charge of the program. During the evening, eve-ning, the first and second place winners in the Auxiliary-sponsored essay contest in the Junior and senior high schools, will give their essays and be presented with first and second prizes of $5 and $3 for each division. The essays are to be on the subject, "Thomas Jefferson, His Contribution to American Democracy." De-mocracy." A fine program in connection with . the essays is also being arranged ar-ranged and all members are urged to be present. . |
