Show ' Mrs. George Roylance and son and daughter, Mrs. Alene Sperry and baby, and Norma Roylance visited Thursday with relatives and friends at Nephi. Dick Crandall, who is attending attend-ing the U. S. A. C. at Logan spent the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E Crandall, and other relatives and friends Lucy Phillips, who is teaching at Snow College, Epharim, this year, spent the Christmas holidays holi-days with relatives and friends in Springville. Mrs. Lamar Metcalf has gone to Austin, Texas, to join her husband, hus-band, who . was recently transferred trans-ferred there after being commissioned commis-sioned a flight officer in the Army Air Corps. Mrs. Allan Stewart, the former Dorothy Weight, left recently for Fort Belvoir, Va., to join her husband, hus-band, who has just completed officers' of-ficers' training and has been commissioned com-missioned a second lieutenant. Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Max L. Larsen and baby son Leon came from Santa Rosa, Calif., to spend the holidays with relatives and friends in Springville, and also visited vis-ited Mrs. Larsen's parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford, at Nephi. Ne-phi. ' Wm. A. Wightman was recently approinted district representative of southern and central Utah area, for a Seattle, Wash., life insurance insur-ance concern. A former druggist in Nevada, Mr. Wightman and family have resumed residence in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Friel of Los Angeles, Calif., have ' been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Friel, the past week, and also at Ogden, with Mrs. Friel's parents. Mr. Friel is with Lockheed Lock-heed Aircraft, and has been enjoying en-joying a two-weeks' vacation. Hannah Marie Billings, who is attending school at Snow College, visiting during the Christmas holidays hol-idays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Billings. Hannah-Marie Hannah-Marie takes part in the Snow College Col-lege school play which goes to Gunnison, Mt. Pleasant and Man-ti, Man-ti, this week. Mrs. Clifford N. Headman, the former LaDean Bulkley, is making mak-ing her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bulkley, at Maywood, Cal. Her husband, who was recently made a corporal in the Engineers, is somewhere in the Pacific, where he has been stationed for twenty months. Mrs. Headman is employed in a war plant. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lundquist and little daughter Anne spent the Christmas and New Year's holidays with their parents in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Joan TenEyck, who attend the University of Utah at Salt Lake City, spent the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George TenEyck. Miss Rhoda Groesbeck enjoyed the holiday .season with relatives in Springville, taking a rest from her teaching duties in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Weight and family of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Condie were dinner guests on New Year's Eve of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Weight. New Year's day guests in Springville Spring-ville were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson of Salt Lake City, who were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cates. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Copeland and children of Los Angeles, Calif., also Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Harding of Los Angeles, have returned to their homes after spending the holidays with Mrs. Copeland's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cates. Mrs. Copeland and children have been visiting in Springville for about a month. Arline Mendenhall has gone to Ogden to take a position with a defense plant office, on 2nd St. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Weenig (Georgia Harmer) and two children, child-ren, Paul and Lloyd, of Ogden, visited vis-ited early this week with her mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Retta Harmer, and other relatives and friends. |
