Show Beautiful Wasatch By Merrill E. Gottfredson Beautiful Wasatch, stately and tall, Pride of the Rockies, queen of them all; In your peaceful valleys a promise I see, A promise from Heaven, sent here to me. Soft shades of the evening cast down from your fold, Have painted a picture in silver and gold; A picture inspiring and lovely to see, Oh, beautiful Wasatch, lead me to thee. Far from the cares of lifes busy throng, Where joy and laughter, mingle in song; Song of the wildwood, rivers and rills, Murmuring breezes, echoing hills. Realm of enchantment, Heavenly blessed, Sparkling waters flow from your breast; Spread to the valleys, far down below, Blood of the land where industries grow. Gardens of learning, bloom at thy feet, Gardens of flowers, fragrant and sweet; Lofty ideals, silently rise, 'Neath beautiful mountains, thrust to the skies. Mystery, romance, desert gold, Voice from your prodigies, fortold; Hark to my yearning, oh! answer my call, Beautiful Wasatch, queen of them all. |
