Show WifeOf Serviceman And Daughter Arrives In Tokyo Mrs. Keith S. Mendenhall and . daughter Pamela have arrived, "safe and sound" in Tokyo, Japan, where Lt. Mendenhall is stationed with the English Air Force in the winged command, communications division. Prior to her departure, Mrs. Mendenhall, spent several weeks in Springville with Lt. Menden-hall'S Menden-hall'S mother, Mrs. S. L. Mendenhall, Menden-hall, Jr. Upon her arrival in Japan, Mrs. Mendenhall and daughter were housed in a rest hotel and Lt. Mendenhall Men-denhall was given two weeks leave to spend with them. The wives of servicemen are treated royally, Mrs. Mendenhall states in a letter to her mother-in-law. A house maid and boy are provided for the small sum of 25 cents per week and one can get a shampoo and hair dress for 35 cents. The women have little work to do and are given giv-en well-furnished living quarters in homes described by Mrs. Mendenhall Men-denhall as, "Out of this world." She sailed on the General Hase ship and the journey required three weeks. |
