Show Ward M.I.A. Sponsors Famous S. L. Chorus Entertainment Given For Sixth Ward Building Fund, Begins At 8 P. M., Friday In Fourth Ward Chapel With Public Invited The Sixth ward M. I. A. is sponsoring the Orpheus Club in a musical in the Fourth ward chapel on Friday, September 27, beginning at 8 p. m., announces Mrs. Willis Weight of the Y. W. M. I. A.S presidency. The entertainment will be a benefit for the Sixth ward chapel building fund and all members of the Sixth ward and friends are invited and urged to patronize the high class entertainment. The evening's program will include in-clude numbers of the Orpheus Club, directed by Albert J. South-wick, South-wick, talented musician, who was at one time a resident of Springville, Spring-ville, as well as selections by the Lyric Singers, which comprises a ladies' double trio. Included in the ladies' double trio is a Springville singer, Miss Valetta Fullmer, who is well known for her lovely voice in Springville and has made considerable con-siderable progress since residing in Salt Lake City. Proving that the club is outstanding out-standing for its musical entertainment enter-tainment are the many fine comments com-ments made by various newspapers newspap-ers following the group's tour of the east. The Rochester Times said: "It was wonderful as the mighty music from the timely i blended voices swelled toward the heavens." And from Washington came the comment, "In precision of attack, accuracy of pitch and control of shades, they have been excellently trained, and their sing- , ing has an enjoyable zest." Attendance at the concert will assist the ward to build a new chapel and all will be benefited by an evening of the finest musical musi-cal entertainment. |
