Ross, Jr., was downed over German-held German-held territory during the Normandy invasion, "and a voice he believes to be that of God told him to bail out, his chances of survival were so infinitesimal that the happy reunion with his wife and child, shown above, must be considered miraculous. In one of the most dramatic documents of the war, Ross describes in the February issue of Cosmopolitan Cos-mopolitan magazine German atrocities which he witnessed, and urges that a stern peace be imposed on a defeated Germany. |
