Show 'Newlyweds Making Home In Pleasant Cjroue Announcement is made this week of the marriage of Miss Doreen Thyret, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Thyret of this city, and Erie Emmett, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. D. Emmett of Pleasant Grove. The marriage took place in a ceremony performed at the home of the bride's mother on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Nov. 20, with Bishop O. H. i Dalton of the Second ward, officiating. offi-ciating. The ceremony was witnessed wit-nessed by immediate family members mem-bers and close friends. The bride chose for her wedding attire, a pretty blue suit with corsage cor-sage of orchids. Immediately after their marriage, mar-riage, the newlyweds were honored hon-ored with an informal reception for guests who witnessed the ceremony. cer-emony. Refreshments were served from a prettily decorated table centered with a lovely three-tier, wedding caketopped with a miniature mini-ature bride and groom. The couple left shortly after their marriage on a few days' honeymoon and are now making their home in Pleasant Grove. The bride was honored at a nicely arranged pre-nuptial party given by Miss Norma Nell Straw and Miss Nanalee Reynolds at the home of the latter, for a group of girl friends. Dinner was served from a prettily pret-tily decorated table centered with white chrysanthemums, the arrangement ar-rangement including a miniature bride with tiny bridesmaids in pink and blue, used as favors. During the evening, the girls presented the guest of honor with a lovely gift and spent the time with games and visiting. Attending the party were, Car-ma Car-ma Jane Mendenhall, Anna Lee W. Strong, Shirley J. Thorn Ail-een Ail-een Hales, Joyce Whiting, Maryn D. Jacobsen, the guest of honor and the hostesses. |
