Show SCOUTS HUNGRY? NOT ANY MORE... The proverbial thirteenth scout law, "a Scout is Hungry" was proven false, at least for awhile, last Friday night at Kelley's Grove when about one hundred scouts and scouters of the Kolob District Dist-rict held a Court of Honor and Camp-fire program after which the local Jaycees and Lions clubs filled the boys so full of hot dogs and watermelon that they looked and 'felt like Tiny Tim after his Christmas dinner. The Scouts and Scouters wish to give fifteen rahs and a vote of thanks (too full to do - it Friday night) for the entertainment. enter-tainment. We are proud to have organizations like the Lions and Jaycees to encourage and help sponsor, scouting in Springville, state Scout officers. A good program was enjoyed by all around a large camp-fire. It included Flag ceremony by the ' Sixth ward troop; community singing; a talk by Scouter Wayne B. Hales of Provo, and Court of Honor awards to twenty scouts which included two Eagle awards to Boyd Hunter of the Sixth ward, and Barney Gogarty of the Third ward. |
