Show Com. Bowlers In Tight Title Chase Oulligans Defeat Lions In Feature Battle Of League Wed. Night Crucial battle in the Commercial Bowling league last week was between the heretofore 1 leading Lions Club and the second place Culligan team. Like the inner-working inner-working of the pictorial Demo win over the Republican sure-shots, the Culligan team pulled' out too many points from the bag to be stopped by the leading Lions. After Af-ter the smoke had died down, the Culligan club had subjugated the Lions into second spot in the league standing with a 4-0 win. Harold Thorn, Robert Jordison, for Culligans, came out with a series high of 547, 496 respectively. respective-ly. Ivan Child, consistent Lion bowler, pulled down third with 452. Jordison rolled up 209 pins for the single game high with Harold getting get-ting 204 for second. Wm. Whitehead White-head completed the Culligan walkaway, walk-away, by placing third with 173. Culligan also took high series with 2308 pins for their club as compared com-pared to 2056 for Haymond Drug and 2001 for the Lions. Their single team game score read high with 834, 758, with Haymond's" breaking in to take third with. 724. Haymond Drug and Springville Herald came out with 4 points each over their respective rivals, G. Lowry Anderson and Holland Furnace, the latter on forfeit. Commercial Standings . . .
