Show Bringhurst-Dixon Rites Take Place In Payson By early autumn candlelight, Miss Janice Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Selby O. Dixon of Payson, became be-came the bride of Mart B. Bringhurst, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bringhurst of this city. The ceremony took place on Thursday evening, Sept. 11, at the home of the brida's parents with President George Christenson of Nebo stake, officiating. The marriage was performed before be-fore cathedral tapers backed by a gladioli-decked mantel. The immediate im-mediate members of "both families and a few chosen friends witnessed witness-ed the ceremony. Both bride and groom were attired in ,brown tailored tail-ored suits, with the brida carrying carry-ing a bouquet of pink rosebuds .centered with an orchid. Miss Joan Barney was the bride's only attendant and Robert Bringhurst performed duties of best man to the groom. Directly after the wedding service serv-ice was read, a telephone call came to the young bride from her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Richard Waggoner, who lives in North Carolina and was unable to attend the wedding. During the course of the evening eve-ning two vocal selections were enjoyed. en-joyed. A girls' trio, made up of Evelyn Ellsworth, Joan Barney and Norelle Jones, with Paul Christensen accompanying, gave vocal numbers. From a beautifully appointed serving table a buffet luncheon was served the three-tiered wedding wed-ding cake being cut by the bride and groom. On each side of the cake were placed tall lighted candles can-dles which were flanked on either side by gladioli arranged in low swan bowls, the chosen pink and white color scheme being used in all. ; The young couple honeymooned at Bryce's National Park and will make their home in Springville. |
