" The play begins at 8:15 p. m., and tickets are available from students stud-ents of the drama department or at the door. The play is an up-to-the-minute story of an amusing American Ameri-can family trying to enjoy a simple sim-ple vacation at the lake. Each member of the family has a different dif-ferent idea as to what makes a summer vacation and around these ideas centers the comedy of the play. A lovely character is young Jacequeline Grayson, about to enter third-year college, eager to grow up, so they say, but even more eager for excitement. Romance Ro-mance and a summer theater, provide pro-vide it in abundance. Cynical Glen, a freshman, wants peace, and as swimming and tennis ten-nis mean exertion, he is opposed to both. He is also opposed to girls and to love but even a young man as lazy as Glen can realize that love when it hits, cannot be sneezed away. It is spelled with a capital "L" in this play. Mr. Grayson, the father would really like to be kind. He presents pre-sents more of a ludicrous picture than he would like to believe, when he tried to run his family's lives. These are only three of the fifteen fif-teen highly amusing characters which everyone will enjoy in the play. Those taking part in the production pro-duction are: Norma Collings, Marva Waters, Phyllis Hunter, Norma Rae Ostlund, Afton Ash, Beth Averett, Lula Jean Holfetz, Arlene Ruff, Peggy Crandall, Art Child, Billy Pratt, Jerrol Boyer, Scott Bertelsen and Don Clegg. |
