Show I HUNTERS ARE ASKED TO COOPERATE Utah goose hunters, particular-. particular-. ly those who shoot on the Levan Ridge in the vicinity of Nephi, were urged today by the Utah Fish and Game Department to make every effort to fill up any hunting holes they dug last fall. The request came as an aftermath after-math to numerous complaints from landowners in the Levan Ridge area that unfilled goose-hunting goose-hunting holes were retarding their spring agricultural work. "The department is entirely in sympathy with these landowners," said Ross Leonard, Utah Fish and Game Director, "agriculturists in the Nephi area and other Utah sections have been extremely cooperative co-operative in past years in allowing hunters to shoot on their lands and it is only good sportsmanship thaf this cooperation be returned."1 He warned that continued failure fail-ure to fill up goose-hunting pits could easily result in landowners posting their property against trespass by hunters. "A few minutes work this spring will prove to landowners that the sportsmen are trying to cooperate and cement relations for future hunting seasons," Leonard pofnted out. |
