The Red Devils have been showing show-ing a marked improvement during their past three games, and with a win needed to get into the state tourney, the team will be playing heads-up ball Friday. Spanish will be heavy favorites in the contest, con-test, but the Springville club should give them plenty to worry about before the game ends. On Tuesday, March 1, the Springville five will travel to Eureka Eu-reka to play their postponed game. This game will be the final league contest and is equally important im-portant as the Spanish Fork game; since the Devils must win to retain re-tain any hopes of getting into the state tourney. Led by the brilliant playing of Glen Sanford, who counted 23 points, the Springville team handed hand-ed the Lions from Payson a 43-31 trouncing here last Friday night. Smith, who definitely was off his usual game, counted 7 points, while Thorn was hitting for 6. Sumsion, Fry and Hodson also played well. Dixon was Payson's whole show with 17 pointers, and played the pivot post nicely. The Devils took an, early lead and maintained it throughout the entire en-tire contest.
