Show Medieval Castle Is Research Station Under the turrets of a castle dating back to the days of the Normans, Ireland is stepping up its agricultural research program. Irish authorities believe that the Johnstown Agricultural College, opened five years ago on a picturesque pictur-esque medieval estate, will soon be able to handle the testing of 100,-000 100,-000 soil samples for Irish farmers every year. The college expreimen-tal expreimen-tal station is concentrating on the development of crops specially adapted ad-apted to the particular soil conditions condi-tions of each Irish farming region. |
