Show $ ' Local Singers Join Big ASI-Sfake MIA. Choruses A large number of talented people peo-ple from Kolob stake, will sing in the M.I.A. regional chorus concerts con-certs in Payson and Provo and also in the festival in Salt Lake City this month, it was announced today by M. I. A. stake board officers. Directed by LaRell Johnson, the local stake singers have spent many hours in preparation for the events. Approximately 175 voices will make up the stake chorus to sing in Payson and Provo. The concert at Payson is scheduled sched-uled for Tuesday evening, June 7, in the Nebo Stake Tabernacle where a new Baldwin organ has just been installed. The concert will be heard in Provo on June 12, at 8:30 p.m., in the Provo Tabernacle and no meetings meet-ings are being scheduled by the wards at that time, so that all may attend. Mrs. E. Lewis Allan will direct the chorus in the Provo and Payson concerts. The general chorus will sing in Salt Lake City on June 18. For the Salt Lake concert, singers are coming from all parts of Utah as well as from California, Idaho and several other states. Those from Springville and Mapleton, Ma-pleton, who will take part in the chorus include: Betty H. Wood, Marilyn Groesbeck, Don Tratt, Fred Tew, Bonnie Beardall, Elaine Jones, Keith Averett, Janice Sargent, Sar-gent, Ann Merie Fry, Marlene Oakley, Norman Dunn, Rell Francis, Fran-cis, Shirley Carter, Joan Alleman, Thelma Waters, LaRae Allan, Carol Car-ol Conover, Glenna Webb. |
