'1 ' , e ' 4 - . : - ' i Mrs- Quentin Fletcher, the former Miss Muriel Beeston of Brisbane, Bris-bane, Australia, who arrived in Springville from her native land, July 24. The most recent war bride to arrive in Springville is Mrs. Quentin Quen-tin Fletcher, the former Miss Muriel Beeston of Brisbane, Australia, Aus-tralia, who, with their small son David, was welcomed by relatives and friends here July 24. Mrs. Fletcher, as gracious as she is attractive, was met on the west coast by her husband, July 19, and after a short stay in California Cali-fornia proceeded to Utah and Springville to make their home- It was the first time Mr. Fletcher, who was a lieutenant commander in the Navy and stationed in Australia, had seen their 2-months-old son. The couple was married at Brisbane in August, 1945, and Mr. Fletcher left the following December for the United States, after spending 19 months in Australia. Mrs. Fletcher, an only daughter of Mr- and Mrs. Eric Beeston of Brisbane, is getting rested from her. long sea voyage and hasn't quite had time to decide whether or not she likes her new home. Her father is a prominent business man in her native country. To acquaint the new Mrs. Fletcher with friends, neighbors and relatives, a number of socials and family gatherings will be given in her honor in the near future. In the meantime, townspeople extend ex-tend to her a welcome to our city. : |
