" t' r - ' , v I - - . , - UV A group of boys and girls with their leaders, Mrs. Melva Harrison and Mrs. Margaret Pehrson, who take advantage of the summer play program sponsored by the City Recreation Committee. The recreation periods are conducted at the City Park and at the Jefferson school daily, including Saturday, from 2 until 5 p. m- The children are taught to use- crayons, to cut o ut pictures, to model clay and to make wood carvings, carv-ings, in addition .to many other types of handiwork. There are also many pieces of play equipment including swings, teeters, slides and sand piles for the entertainment of all. All activities are welf . supervised. The recreation leaders have a doll show planne d for next Saturday at 2 p. m., at the Park, and an invittion is extended to children of the city to attend and bring their dolls. The mothers are also invited. in-vited. Just recently, the group gave a pet and hobby show, which featured a unique display of many animals and pet hobbies by the boys and girls. , |
